Responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) functionalities in a manufacturing environment. Ensures accurate data collection from production equipment and alignment of system configurations with operational and quality requirements. Coordinates MES-related activities such as parameter setup, user access control, interface validation with automation and ERP systems, and master data consistency. Collaborates with production, quality, IT, and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, supports audits, trains end users, and ensures compliance with global MES standards and traceability policies.
Position is non-remote & requires on-site attendance
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
+ Serve as MES application owner for the plant, overseeing configuration, performance monitoring, and alignment between actual and target state.
+ Provide MES subject matter expertise to evaluate, configure, and optimize Nexeed MES/IAS systems according to user and operational requirements.
+ Lead the deployment of Nexeed MES/IAS, ensuring compliance with Bosch IT architecture, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0 standards.
+ Drive MES strategy execution, including penetration into brownfield and greenfield lines and alignment with digital manufacturing objectives.
+ Ensure machine connectivity to MES for both legacy and new equipment, using Bosch connectivity solutions.
+ Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and IT to resolve MES issues, support audits, and ensure data integrity and traceability.
+ Train and support end users on MES tools and promote adoption of best practices for system usage.
+ Act as MES focal point during product launches, equipment commissioning, and relocation projects.
+ Support and apply the MES process capability framework to enable standardization and continuous improvement at plant level.

Basic Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
+ Minimum 7 years of experience supporting or configuring MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
+ Hands-on experience with MES configuration, including user access control, parameter setup, and interface testing (e.g., ERP, PLCs, SCADA).
+ Proficient in SQL and experienced in working with Oracle Databases for data validation, query execution, and system support.
+ Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, traceability, and data integrity principles.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and IT teams.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and a structured, analytical mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Hands-on experience with Nexeed MES, preferably including the new Nexeed IAS platform.
+ Familiarity with ISA-95 architecture and integration with automation systems via OPC UA or similar protocols.
+ Working knowledge of SAP, especially in areas related to production and quality data integration.
+ Experience supporting MES configurations during production launches, equipment commissioning, or plant relocations.
+ Exposure to Linux environments for MES infrastructure monitoring and diagnostics.
+ Experience leading or contributing to local MES improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.
+ Relevant certifications (e.g., Nexeed MES training, Six Sigma, PMP) are considered an advantage.
