About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Technical Advisor to join a high-performing technical team supporting compressor station operations across multiple regions. In this role, you will act as a trusted subject matter expert for mechanical systems, troubleshooting emergent issues, guiding field technicians, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of critical natural gas infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities Provide expert mechanical and compressor station technical support to field mechanical technicians. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of day?to?day O&M issues involving mechanical systems and equipment. Monitor maintenance practices to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable compressor station operations. Train field technicians and track progress within Technician Qualification and Operator Qualification Programs. Assist in developing and implementing operational policies, standards, and procedures. Support design reviews, commissioning activities, and post?commissioning monitoring for compression-related projects. Evaluate, specify, and support installation of new mechanical equipment across field locations. Requirements Related university degree plus 6+ years of experience, OR
8+ years of field operations experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical experience in gas transmission, gas distribution, or industrial facilities is required. Solid technical background and working knowledge of mechanical equipment used in the natural gas industry. Strong competencies in computer skills, communication, and cross-team collaboration. Proven experience in mechanical O&M with strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects. Strong written and verbal communication capabilities. Demonstrated informal leadership experience in a team environment. Ability to work in field environments with exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and active job sites. Knowledge of CFR 192 and related industry codes is an asset. Working Conditions Hybrid office and field-based role with substantial field time. Travel up to 25%, including extensive driving to reach field locations. Exposure to high/low temperatures, noisy environments, and active construction or maintenance sites.
