We are seeking a Senior Vertical Marketing Manager for our CGAT Vertical Marketing function within the Cell Biology Business. This role involves developing effective marketing strategies and targeted campaigns to drive awareness and connect customers to products supporting cell and gene therapy research and manufacturing. The candidate should have detailed knowledge of CGAT fields, proactive leadership skills, and the ability to engage with cross-divisional teams for market feedback. They must balance creativity, strategy, execution, and analytics to optimize audience engagement and maintain a strong demand generation funnel. Success requires navigating a matrixed organization, gaining alignment, and managing complex projects across multiple divisions on time and within budget.

A day in the life

Collaborate with the brand team to build and maintain CGAT marketing creative and messaging, as well as Gibco CTS brand designation awareness marketing.

Serve as the cross-divisional campaign liaison to uncover areas for opportunistic marketing impact and develop cross-divisional workflow campaigns.

Use CGAT customer, market, and competitor insights to formulate strategic marketing plans.

Develop and implement tactical marketing plans including capability, workflow, and competitive campaigns to drive business growth.

Ensure campaign metrics demonstrate program efficiency and drive the intended demand.

Leverage customer pipeline data and purchasing information to find opportunities and enable targeted marketing tactics.

Partner with the CGAT Vertical Leader, Product Management, Product Marketing, and Regional Marketing Managers to develop and deliver sales training and support materials.

Keys to Success

Education:

A bachelor's degree in marketing, biology or a related field.

An advanced degree in business or marketing is preferred

Experience:

>2 years’ experience in the life science or bioprocess industry with a focus on cell therapy/gene therapy

Minimum of 8 years in market and brand management, preferably within the biotech or life sciences industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strategic marketer who can analyze customer, market, and competitor data and develop marketing strategies to create a distinct and sustainable competitive advantage.

Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing marketing campaigns.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority.

Ability to strictly adhere to timelines and deliver results.

Understanding of digital marketing capabilities and channels and how best to demonstrate effective demand generation and nurture.

Knowledge of CGAT technologies, processes, competition/industry knowledge, and customer needs, behaviors and difficulties.

Desire to learn and work across multiple teams

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$165,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
