Position Overview

The Senior Manager - Supply Chain IT will lead all aspects of digital supply chain planning and logistics solutions within a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization. This role involves encouraging consistency, improving analytical capabilities, and ensuring full visibility across the Kinaxis RapidResponse and SAP Coordinated Business Planning (IBP) systems. The candidate will serve as a strategic IT partner to the Supply Chain function, translating business challenges into technology-enabled solutions that enhance efficiency, insight, and agility.

Key Responsibilities

Be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and operation of Kinaxis and SAP IBP-based supply chain solutions, ensuring alignment with the organization's digital roadmap.Collaborate with Supply Chain Strategy, Production, Sourcing, and Sales departments to understand business obstacles and translate them into technological resolutions.Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process enablement and integration across functions using digital tools and sophisticated planning technologies.Supervise end-to-end Master Data Management (MDM) processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality compliance across supply chain systems.Lead the day-to-day operations of digital logistics systems, coordinating incident response, improvement inquiries, performance improvement, and vendor collaboration.Support integration initiatives between ERP, MES, and external partner systems to ensure seamless data and process flow.Partner with the Data Analytics team to implement dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (Key Performance Indicators), and data-driven insights for proactive decision-making.Involvement to ensure successful transitions and user acceptance through organized training, communication, and interested party involvement.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies, data integrity standards, and GxP/CSV regulations for systems supporting regulated processes.Maintain system documentation, including configuration records, validation work, and operational procedures.Partner with Quality, Regulatory, and Compliance teams to uphold audit readiness and maintain the validated state of systems.Ensure alignment with cybersecurity and data protection requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement

Find opportunities to enhance planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and supply chain agility through emerging technologies.Evaluate performance and technology usage against established benchmarks within BioPharma's digital supply chain management.Drive automation and analytics maturity by piloting AI/ML capabilities within planning and forecasting processes.Develop and sustain a digital roadmap for continuous innovation and business transformation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.10–14 years of experience in IT roles with at least 7 years dedicated to enterprise logistics planning and implementation systems.Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse and SAP IBP in a BioPharma or Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.Demonstrable understanding of S&OP processes, demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling.Demonstrated proficiency in managing MDM procedures and oversight within Supply Chain platforms.Prior exposure to validated systems and regulatory environments in life sciences (GxP, CSV) is preferred.

Strong business process understanding of BioPharma supply chain operations.Excellent customer engagement and interpersonal skills across global and multi-functional teams.Strategic problem-solving and technology mapping competence to address business problems.Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate IT–Business partnerships efficiently.Knowledge of data integration, analytics platforms, and AI applications in supply chain planning.

Proficiency in managing complex, multi-vendor digital supply chain ecosystems.

Solid project management skills with an ability to deliver large-scale IT implementations on time and within budget.

Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements for data management and IT governance in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Capability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical collaborators effectively.

Strong analytical outlook with experience in demonstrating data for operational and strategic decision-making.

Proven ability to foster innovation and lead teams through transformational initiatives.

Proven leadership in digital transformation initiatives and project lifecycle governance.
