The Role: We are looking for a passionate, talented, and experienced Sr Manager of Product Manager to lead the AWS Pricing Strategy team as well as own the development, deployment, and operation of the AWS Pricing Agent and Companion—an AI-powered system that will transform how AWS Product Managers build pricing strategies. This role focuses specifically on creating an agentic AI system that proactively helps PMs craft optimal pricing proposals by automating document creation, providing real-time cross-team coordination, and delivering integrated subject matter expertise.
You will define the North Star vision for AWS's pricing agent platform and own the complete product lifecycle—from initial concept through scaled deployment across all AWS service teams. Key job responsibilities
Pricing Research & Strategic Analysis
- Set the standard for pricing research excellence across AWS by conducting deep, rigorous analysis that shapes how AWS thinks about and implements pricing strategies
- Lead competitive pricing intelligence efforts, analyzing market dynamics, competitor positioning, and customer willingness-to-pay to inform strategic pricing decisions
- Establish frameworks and methodologies for pricing analysis that can be scaled across AWS service teams, creating repeatable processes for high-quality pricing decisions
- Partner with Finance, Economics, and Business Intelligence teams to build comprehensive pricing datasets and analytical capabilities
Product Leadership - Pricing Agent Platform
- Define the North Star vision and long-term product roadmap for the AWS Pricing Agent and Companion, ensuring necessary research and strategic direction for sustained success
- Lead the design and development of AI agents that automate creation of pricing decision documents by leveraging existing PM artifacts (PR-FAQ, BRD, PRD, customer notes) and incorporating pricing research insights
- Build agentic workflows that provide real-time cross-team coordination with CP/Billing, GTM/marketing, SCE, and private pricing teams to streamline the pricing proposal process
- Create AI-powered evaluation systems that assess pricing proposals for quality and risk, providing early feedback to strengthen recommendations before formal review
Strategic Leadership & Influence
- Manage the business of the product including branding, economic modeling, pricing strategy, forecast analysis, and go-to-market execution
- Drive alignment and coherent product feature, business, and evangelism strategies across AWS service teams and multiple VP organizations
- Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in AWS's pricing approach through continuous research and analysis, translating insights into actionable product features
Technical & Team Development
- Partner with Principal Engineers to review complex architectures and evaluate technology alternatives for agent frameworks, LLM integration, and workflow orchestration
- Actively develop other product managers, perform Principal PMT promotion assessments, and mentor the broader product management community on both pricing strategy and AI product development
