Company Overview
A leading global asset management firm with over billions in assets under management is seeking a Senior Manager – Fund Accountant to join its team. With a global presence and a diversified investment portfolio—including public and private markets, real assets, and direct investments—the firm offers a dynamic and collaborative environment for experienced finance individuals.
Position Overview
The Senior Manager will lead key fund accounting operations, overseeing monthly and annual close processes for multi-strategy and specialized investment vehicles. Reporting to the Global Controller, this role will manage a team and work closely with cross-functional departments such as Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, and Operations.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in fund structures (both share class and partnership formats), proficient in Advent Geneva, and a strong background in hedge fund accounting. This leadership position is well-suited for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee and review monthly NAV close packages and financial statements.
+ Manage year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors and service providers.
+ Lead a team of fund accountants, providing mentorship and development opportunities.
+ Ensure accurate investor-level performance reporting and allocations.
+ Liaise with third-party administrators for investor reporting and transparency.
+ Review and contribute to regulatory filings such as BEA and CIMA.
+ Collaborate on private asset valuation models in coordination with investment and valuation teams.
+ Support ongoing improvements to accounting platforms, systems, and workflows.
+ Partner with internal teams to address client reporting needs and investor inquiries.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ 15+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within hedge funds or asset management.
+ Proficiency with Advent Geneva is essential.
+ CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is required.
+ Strong command of Excel; Power Query experience a plus.
+ Deep understanding of hedge fund accounting, GAAP, and fund structures.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
+ High attention to detail and commitment to process excellence.
+ Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across global teams.
