Overview As a Senior Manager Data Engineering (Technology Architect – Big Data), you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions that drive business insights and innovation. You will work with cross-functional teams to architect, build, and optimize data platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients. Your Impact Architect and implement large-scale, high-performance data solutions using Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Snowflake. Define and drive the data engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design scalable, efficient data pipelines. Optimize data processing and storage to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Lead and mentor data engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance data engineering capabilities. Partner with business and technology leaders to drive data-driven decision-making and digital transformation. Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Big Data technologies. Proven expertise in designing and implementing data architectures, data lakes, and data warehouses. Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, and other Big Data platforms. Strong knowledge of cloud-based data solutions, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience with real-time data processing, streaming analytics, and event-driven architectures. Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL databases, and data modeling techniques. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisions. Experience in Agile and DevOps practices, ensuring continuous integration and deployment of data solutions. Set Yourself Apart With Certifications in Big Data technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, Cloudera Certified Professional). Experience in machine learning pipelines, AI-driven analytics, and predictive modeling. Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
