Job Description
The Commercial Digitization Team requires a new team member to lead all aspects of RBC Edge reporting, usage, and tracking towards our Commercial Digital OKRs. To date, we have not required a person to do this, however, coming out of the TA portion of Emerald, we find ourselves scaling the product to our Commercial client base and having to build reports off rudimentary datasets whereas we envision a need to have much deeper analysis done on the service to support road mapping, planning and future state enhancements.
Coordinating financial information from numerous sources and combining them into unified, coherent reports.
Researching and providing information on financial results for specified products either industry-wide or internally.
Assisting in developing financial models and analysis tools, and approaches for internal use of product profitability evaluation.
Designing financial reports to present information in the most useful manner for different analytical needs.
What will you do?
Work closely with Commercial Digitization Product Owners & Strategists, and Digital Analytics to create reporting, insights and analytics to support launch and growth of new and existing products to our Commercial client base and beyond.
Evaluate and define costs vs. benefits of new growth opportunities
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in data and analytics preferably in financial services firm (Commercial Banking or Wealth Management)
Understanding of Objective and Key Results (OKR) building relative to products and services offered and business’ strategic mission.
A high degree of competency communicating the data story (written/oral)
Assisting with OKR creation, measurement and communication. Ability to create KPIs based on OKRs
Driving data gap analysis and data structure conversations during new feature/service creation with Product Owners/Business Owners to help build the stories we need to drive the business
Experience building queries with multiple databases/sets across RBC infrastructure (ESS, Data Lake, Redis, XLS)
Strong experience with Google Analytics suite and GA tagging concepts and best practices for implementation.
Tableau dashboard creation/communication
Experience in working with diverse teams and partners and leading data conversations
Willingness to learn new skills, solve challenging problems and proven results to thrive in these environments
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Strategy, or a related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
