To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What you'll be doing** As an integral part of the Frontline Experience leadership team, reporting to the Director User Experience, the Senior Manager, User Experience will be you’ll be responsible for a small, but growing team of UX Designers. The Sr. Manager will actively be involved in the day-to-day operations of managing and coaching direct reports, providing UX design recommendations and consulting directly with our lines of business and project teams. You’ll continuously research emerging UX (including Design, UX Strategy, Accessibility, and Content Design) best practices and tools, and integrate them into the team. Working with the Director, User Experience, you’ll also set the foundation for the team’s design standards, best practices, guidelines and processes. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How you will succeed** + **Team Management:** Provide design and user experience leadership. Collaborate with visual and UX designers to deliver final project outputs. Regularly engage with the Technology department and Editorial Team, including Senior Management, to identify optimal design solutions. Ensure a holistic user experience through usability standards, creative design, and presentation development, presenting concepts and designs to peers and executive leaders + **Stakeholder Management:** Earn trust of your peers across multiple internal teams (design, engineering, product) to drive UX maturity and position UX as a strategic partner in delivering successful products. + **Resource Management:** Perform leadership tasks such as performance evaluations, hiring, onboarding/off-boarding, team communication, development planning, and resource management. Provide business updates to team members.
 + **UX Strategy/Processes:** With expertise in agile development methodologies and associated UX activities, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of team strategies and mandates while driving process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and implement enhancement opportunities, advocate for UX principles by educating stakeholders on practices, deliverables, and their alignment with business objectives. Work closely with peers across User Experience teams to ensure design consistency and promote the sharing of best practices. + **Planning/Prioritization:** Plan and coordinate business tasks and deliverables. Review and approve UX estimates as needed. Represent team in planning sessions. Consolidate status updates from UX leads for stakeholder communication.
 + **Design:** Support the development of user interface designs (concepts, wireframes, mockups, prototypes) when capacity is limited. Identify areas for improving user experience in frontline tools and opportunities for human-centric design. Create and maintain a design system in tools like Figma or Sketch to ensure consistency and usability for designers, tech partners, and vendors. **Who you are** + **You can demonstrate** **a minimum of** **5** **years** **of work experience** in a people leadership role, managing, leading and coaching UX teams. + **You have degree** in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or you can demonstrate equivalent work experience. + **You can demonstrate** mastery of Figma, Sketch and other design tools, UX heuristics, best practices, trends, design standards, and interaction design principles. It’s an asset if you are familiar with usability research methods. ​ + **You can demonstrate comprehensive knowledge** of electronic delivery, including internet technology, content management, capability development, accessibility standards, and implementation processes. Skilled in prototyping experiences of varying complexities and levels of detail, with expertise in creating both low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes and page schematics to support design and development initiatives + **Your influence makes a difference.** You know that relationships and networks are essential to success.
