ADP Ventures Labs is ADP’s internal innovation incubator, focused on identifying, shaping, and building new product opportunities in partnership with ADP’s Business Units. Role Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic and product-oriented Sr. Manager, Strategy & Business Development to join ADP Ventures Labs. This role will serve as a strategic thought partner to Product Directors and Business Unit leaders, helping shape the future direction of both existing product portfolios and new venture opportunities. The Director will lead rigorous strategic planning efforts, evaluate growth pathways, and develop actionable multi-year roadmaps that strengthen competitive positioning and unlock new revenue streams.
In parallel, this individual will identify, assess, and incubate high-potential product concepts in partnership with Business Units — building investment cases, defining product vision, and supporting commercialization strategies.
Operating across strategic planning, venture incubation, and commercialization, this role requires strong financial acumen, product fluency, executive presence, and the ability to translate ambiguity into clear, scalable action plans.
Key Responsibilities Venture Opportunity Identification & Evaluation Identify and frame new product opportunities in partnership with ADP Business Units Conduct structured market assessments, competitive analyses, and strategic fit evaluations Develop clear incubation recommendations Build robust financial models (ROI, revenue potential, cost structures, scenario modeling) Present go/no-go recommendations to senior leadership Potentially lead opportunity to execution and scale Strategic Planning for Existing Product Portfolios Partner closely with Product Directors to evaluate long-term growth opportunities and competitive positioning of existing products Develop strategic roadmaps grounded in market dynamics, customer needs, and platform evolution Identify adjacencies, expansion opportunities, and monetization levers Conduct build / buy / partner analyses to inform strategic choices Translate strategy into clear, actionable plans aligned with product and technology roadmaps Support executive-level strategy reviews and portfolio prioritization discussions Business Development & Commercialization Develop and execute commercialization strategies for incubated products in partnership with Business Units Define target customer segments, pricing models, and go-to-market approaches Partner with Sales, Marketing, and BU leaders to drive early customer acquisition and revenue generation Identify and secure lighthouse clients and pilot opportunities to validate product-market fit Build revenue forecasts and track performance against commercialization milestones Refine value propositions based on market feedback and sales insights Support scaling strategy as products transition from incubation to broader deployment Labs Strategy & Executive Engagement Support overall Ventures Labs strategy, roadmap, and prioritization framework Prepare executive-level readouts, strategic narratives, and board-ready materials Drive cross-functional alignment across Business Units, Product, Finance, Legal, Security, and Technology Contribute to long-term growth strategy and portfolio management for the Labs Qualifications 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, venture building, or innovation roles Strong track record of developing business cases and financial models for new products or investments Demonstrated experience shaping product vision and working closely with technical teams Experience in Blockchain / Crypto ecosystem is a plus Ability to move from conceptual strategy to practical execution Executive-level communication and storytelling skills Strong analytical and structured thinking capabilities Comfort engaging in technical discussions and understanding product architecture Experience in SaaS, HR Tech, FinTech, or platform businesses strongly preferred MBA or advanced degree preferredProfile We’re Looking For

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is USD $91,900.00 - USD $246,240.00 / Year*
