In this role you will bring an excellent synergy of strategic portion of MSC and implementation of digital technological solutions applicable for MSC Canada by adapting what’s already being done within Mondelez as well as what’s available externally in market. Strategy leadership role is to ensure successful ideation, feasibility assessment, development, and execution of BMR initiatives (Business Margin Revolution) and Productivity projects across Canada BU. Our strategic BMR Program includes projects in areas of manufacturing/conversion, CS&L (Customer Service and Logistics) and RM/PM/EM (Raw Materials, Pack Material and External Manufacturing). This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technological advancement, aiming to leverage digital tools and methodologies to achieve strategic objectives.
**Role responsibility includes:**
**Strategy Development:**
o Ideation and execution of project scopes for successful delivery together with projects teams
o Specific deep dive on conversion/manufacturing to understand opportunities, create more project ideas and improve feasibility, execute existing projects with excellence
o Leading the program, overall teams, and other resources to reach program productivity targets.
**Digital Transformation Leadership:**
o Championing and leading digital initiatives within MSC all 5 Canadian sites and functions (e.g., CSnL, HSE, Quality, Procurement, RDQ, BD, etc).
o Overseeing the end-to-end implementation of digital projects, from pilot to full-scale deployment.
o Ensuring integration of new digital solutions with existing enterprise systems within Mondelez internally as well as externally.
**How you will contribute:**
Manage Business Margin Revolution/Productivity Project Scopes to:
o Turn ideas into projects with teams working on feasibility of the ideas
o Work-out project’s feasibility in terms of financials and technical solutions
o Drive alternative solutions to increase feasibility of ideas (savings, investments etc.)
o Work to identify barriers for feasibility and ways to overcome
o Help create successful delivery teams per project.
o Coach and support project teams for successful delivery and vertical start-up
o Manage change throughout project management
o Prepare other needed documentation such as Scorecards, Masterplans, Appropriation Request Packages, Summaries, 1-pagers, decisions sheets
o Drive Specific deep dive on conversion/manufacturing to understand opportunities, create more project ideas and improve feasibility, execute existing projects with excellence
**Manage the Portfolio:**
o Drive the team and other resources to reach overall productivity targets of the program
o Consolidate and communicate status reports, risks, action plans and define help needed with different scopes/sites
o Manage delivery and steer-co meetings, summaries, escalations, and action plans
o Drive and follow-up on action plans to make sure program stays on committed goals in terms of savings, investments, and timelines
o Work with stakeholders to bring the help needed to specific projects
o Manage total change for the portfolio
o Prepare other needed documentation such as Scorecards, Masterplans, Appropriation Request Packages, Summaries, 1-pagers, decisions sheets
**What extra ingredients you will bring:**
Good understanding of end-to-end processes in the manufacturing and business environment; working knowledge of commercialization process (I2M); project leadership / management skills and technical and financial aspects of the business.
o Strategic thinking, while having ability to excel in leading tactical programs
o Highly action oriented, drive for results, innovative, challenging actual set-ups, entrepreneurial ability
o Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment
o Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem solving and team building
o Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
o Experience with managing multiple projects at the same time, experience with CAPEX projects management.
o Ability to travel daily to our DCs and Plant Locations (also possible to suppliers/co-manufacturers with less frequency if needed)
o Ability to communicate well withing projects teams, operation teams, other stakeholders, and sponsors
o Ability to collaborate with, lead and support different teams and functions
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
o Strategic Thinking: Ability to think long-term, understand market dynamics, and translate business objectives into actionable digital strategies.
o Digital Acumen: Deep understanding of digital technologies, platforms, and their application within a CPG context.
o Project & Program Management: Proven ability to manage complex digital transformation projects from conception to completion.
o Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis capabilities to derive insights and inform strategic decisions.
o Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate vision, influence stakeholders, and drive adoption.
o Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and work effectively across organizational boundaries.
o Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the CPG value chain, challenges, and opportunities.
**Education/Experience:**
o Engineering Degree, preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing/Industrial, Chemical/Food, Electrical/Electronics/Automation fields
o 10+ years supply chain project management experience in demanding environments including scope/schedule/cost management, communication/stakeholder management and investment justification
o 5+ years of manufacturing/operations and/or maintenance management experience
