About the Role:

A senior-level professional responsible for providing technical accounting leadership for revenue recognition in the European region, managing complex SaaS revenue arrangements, and ensuring compliance with ASC 606. Critical role in supporting UK/EU sales operations and deal structuring while maintaining US GAAP compliance.

This is a remote role but the candidate needs to be located in the UK to be considered 

What You’ll Do:

Lead technical accounting analyses under US GAAP Revenue Recognition - ASC 606 for regional deals

Partner with European Sales VPs on deal structuring and US GAAP revenue implications.

​Deal support focus: 

Real-time review of complex deal structures for ASC 606 compliance

Revenue allocation guidance for multi-element arrangements

Support sales team during contract negotiations

Assess revenue impact of non-standard terms

Review and approve non-standard contract terms ensuring ASC 606 compliance

Support US headquarter revenue accounting function for complex and non-recurring revenue related topics in the month close and quarterly reporting, and other audit-related task supports

Key Stakeholder Management:

Regular interaction with European Sales VPs

Collaboration with US-based technical accounting team

Partnership with global revenue team

Communication with external auditors

Critical Success Factors:

Maintain consistent application of US GAAP across regional deals

Ensure efficient deal closure while maintaining compliance

Build scalable revenue processes aligned with US GAAP requirements

Support regional growth while managing revenue recognition risk, including strong interpersonal skill with both leadership and key business stakeholders, and adequate capability of multitasking in fast-faced environment

What You’ll Need:

Deep understanding of ASC 606

Performance obligations identification

Transaction price determination

Allocation methodologies

Recognition timing

Contract modification accounting

Expertise in US GAAP reporting requirements

Experience with SEC reporting standards

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA certification

10-12+ years of accounting experience

Big 4 public accounting experience with specifically corporate accounting roles in revenue accounting,

SaaS/Software industry revenue recognition experience is strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and other US GAAP and IFRS requirements

SEC reporting experience

English fluency lanaguage skills

Proficiency with:

Subscription revenue models

Usage-based pricing structures

Multi-year contract arrangements

Channel partner agreements

Professional services revenue recognition

Contract modifications and amendments
