As a Senior Manager - Product Owner – Digital and Alternative Assets you will lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of digital and alternative asset portfolio management capabilities. These solutions provide our clients with access to more investment products across a broader range of asset classes and enable Schwab portfolio managers to fulfil the intended strategy outcomes. You will work as part of a platform product team dedicated to portfolio management capabilities across crypto and other active alternative strategies.  Product Owners (POs) at Schwab develop and maintain a vision for their products and are responsible for communicating that vision to the engineering teams and key stakeholders. They specify product features from conception to retirement and work with tech leaders, architects, UX designers, and engineers to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met.

Key Outcomes

Platform Vision, Strategy, and Backlog OwnershipShape and communicate a clear platform strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the evolving needs of digital and other alternative asset class strategies.Translate platform vision into a prioritized Product Backlog, guiding Agile teams to deliver features that advance investment portfolio management capabilities.Clearly express backlog items and acceptance criteria, balancing new features, defect resolution, and production support. Make trade-offs between competing priorities to maximize value delivered to stakeholders. Cross-Team and Stakeholder EngagementEngage with portfolio managers, traders, business partners, technologists, and vendors to prioritize platform enhancements that directly impact portfolio management outcomes, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with technology teams and external vendors to implement scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms that support complex digital asset portfolio management and trading needs.Collaborate with other Product Owners to resolve dependencies and ensure seamless integration across teams and systems, addressing any cross-functional implications of new features and enhancements. Agile Leadership & ExecutionLead Agile teams in delivering incremental product value through effective backlog management and active participation in Scrum events.Facilitate backlog refinement and ensure the team understands product strategy and priorities. Required Experience

5+ years in financial services, including domain knowledge in investment portfolio management as a product owner/manager collaborating with technology teams and business partners.2+ years working with platforms in the digital asset/crypto and alternative investment ecosystem.Familiar with cloud platforms, vendor solutions in the alternatives space, and modern development practices.Undergraduate degree required; advanced certification (e.g. CFA, FRM) and/or graduate degree in business, finance, quantitative disciplines, or related fields preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience in blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and tokenization, including legal and regulatory matters.Experience launching and supporting digital and alternative investment platforms for ETF and index fund strategies. Experience supporting platforms in alternative asset classes such as private equity, private credit, commodities and real estate.Proven experience managing vendor relationships and integrating third-party solutions.Passionate about creating and enhancing tools for digital asset and blockchain workflows and knowledge-sharing in investment teams.Growth mindset and commitment to continual learning and self-improvement.Strong communicator and effective stakeholder manager.Curious, empathetic, and driven to deliver impactful solutions for digital asset investment strategies and client needs.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
