Job Summary:

PayPal is seeking a Sr. Manager, Global Finance Transformation to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will lead multi-year roadmap initiatives, focus on designing and deploying finance programs centered on Sub-ledger and General Ledger processes, offer strategic leadership, drive organizational change, collaborate across Finance, business units, and product groups, and influence stakeholders effectively.

Essential Responsibilities:

Business partnering with leaders and VPs and the other cross-functional teams located globallyBuild and retain a strong and effective teamOversee month-end close and reporting activities, forecast, variance analysis and reporting of operating expense (as well as Contra)Drive continuous process improvements both within the team and with the businessProvide analysis and recommendations to leadership groups quickly and effectively to drive resultsEnsure strict adherence to corporate policies and GAAP regulationsPartner with leadership on risk awareness for projectsDevelop key insights to provide finance senior leadership visibility into areas of riskWork within finance and technology partners to identify areas of opportunity for improvementPrepare and present results and forecasts to senior leadersTrack and re-trend results against forecasts and budgets

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

1. Create and maintain an ongoing process that identifies transformational priorities for Record to Report, Order to Cash, Billing and Revenue, Accounr receivable sub ledgers. This includes managing the decision governance for process, system design, resource requirements, and resource allocations to transformational priorities. 

2. Partner closely with senior leaders across the Finance organizations, partner IT organizations to fully align with needs, develop the strategic transformation roadmap, and establish governance that will help scale our business and support growth opportunities. 

3.  Partner with leaders to prioritize programs, assess opportunities, and ensure resourcing. 

4. Collaborate with process owners to define best practices, connect end-to-end process flows, and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with Engineering on solutions and support Finance teams to develop and deploy new tools and processes. 

5. Create a culture of accountability to ensure the implementation of the scope, budget, schedule, and quality of transformational priorities. 

6. Accountability for realizing value from implementing both quick wins and mid/longer-term initiatives. 

7.Lead and manage detailed, well-formulated transformative project work. 

8.  Experience leading the complete Record to Report, Sub-ledger, and Management Reporting processes. 

9. Partner with stakeholders, including finance, accounting, engineering, and business units, to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions. 

10. Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems (such as SAP S/4 HANA, SAP FPSL/Bank Analyzer, BW4HANA, Blackline). 

11. Experience leading multiple, cross-functional projects, identifying and implementing process improvements, designing, implementing, and testing processes and controls for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation projects. 

12.  Deep experience with Financial accounting processes, Financial products and their transaction flows. 

13.Gather business requirements, assist in design, and contribute to development efforts for Payment Subledger processes. 

14. Advanced understanding of SAP Financial modules, specifically FPSL or Bank Analyzer. 

15. Ability to lead effectively through strong organizational skills and handle increasing levels of responsibility. 

16. Familiarity with interfaces from SAP Finance with other non-SAP systems. 

The position will drive integration decisions among both business and functional stakeholders by partnering with business leaders, functional, and technology leaders.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $123,500 to $212,850
