Our Technology team has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain.

As Sr. Manager, eCommerce Architecture, you will be the technical visionary and systems strategist for our enterprise eCommerce ecosystem. You will define, evolve, and govern the architecture powering our web, mobile, backend services, data, and platform infrastructure.
This role ensures scalability, reliability, performance, security, and extensibility across all digital platforms. You will lead a team of Solution Architects and collaborate closely with engineering, product, and executive leadership to align technology with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and maintain architecture models that align with business goals and non-functional requirements.Evaluate and select suitable technologies to strengthen the eCommerce ecosystem.Design and oversee eCommerce platform integration with enterprise systems to enable an omnichannel customer experience.Ensure platforms are highly available, scalable, and optimized for performance under large traffic and transaction volumes.Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and Data teams to align architecture with delivery priorities.Implement and maintain enterprise-grade security measures to protect sensitive customer and business data.Directly manage and mentor a team of Solution Architects, fostering technical growth and leadership development.Conduct architecture reviews, guiding Tech Leads to ensure designs conform to standards.Serve as an escalation point for cross-cutting technical conflicts and design decisions.Champion collaboration across product and platform teams to minimize duplication and technical debt.Establish and govern architecture decision processes, ensuring adoption across engineering teams.Define responsible architecture standards to prevent technology sprawl.Lead build vs. buy analysis for critical technology decisions.Stay ahead of industry trends and influence technology strategy to future-proof the platform.Qualifications15+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in architecture leadership roles.Proven experience in enterprise-scale eCommerce or large-scale B2C systems.Experience with Composable Commerce, MACH Alliance principles,Experience leading teams through replatforming, digital transformation, or modernization efforts.Prior experience working in a product-led, agile enterprise.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.Familiarity with FinOps practices

 

Preferred:Familiarity with data architecture, AI/ML integration, and experimentation frameworks.Familiarity with eCommerce solutions like Commercetools, Algolia, Contentful, VercelKnowledge of:Frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, micro-frontends)Backend services (Node.js, .Net, APIs,)Google Cloud platform
