We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Senior Manager of Developer Relations for the UKI and Europe North region. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our efforts to engage with developers, foster deep connections, and drive adoption of AWS services across the region during this transformative era of generative AI.
As the leader of Developer Relations in the area, you will lead a growing talented team of Developer Advocates, Community Managers, and Developer Marketing managers distributed across multiple countries. You will partner with leaders in Field Marketing, Public Relations, Solutions Architects, and other stakeholders to win the hearts and minds of developers through resonant messaging and trust-building initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will wear several hats, and act as a:
1. Technical Leader: you will mentor and guide a distributed team of Developer Advocates, fostering their growth, and empowering them to deliver exceptional results. Cultivate a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture that attracts and retains top talent. Provide technical guidance, and raise the bar on content. Serve as the voice of developers from the region within AWS, reporting on challenges and friction points faced by this audience. Partner with service teams to improve the developer experience and drive continuous improvement.
2. Community Leader: through the community manager, you will foster deep connections with the developer community, engage through various channels, including events, meetups, online communities, and more.
3.Business Leader: You will align with Sales leadership, Service Teams leaders, and Marketing stakeholders on priorities for the region. Take ownership on strategic initiatives to engage developers across multiple segments. Report on progress, through business narratives.
4. Marketing Leader: You will create interlocks with the rest of AWS marketing. Represent developers to influence our messaging in campaigns and product positioning. Develop and execute a strategic content and event plan, ensuring impactful and relevant experiences for the technical audience.
A day in the life
Foster developer connections, gather insights to shape AWS services, and drive engagement across UKI, and Europe North. Nurture innovation within your team, surface Big Ideas via narratives, and secure buy-in and support from stakeholders. Daily activities include leading team meetings, attending product briefings, engaging online communities, planning events/content strategies, advocating the developer perspective internally, and presenting at major developer events.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
