About this Role

The Senior Manager of Data & Analytics is a strategic leadership role responsible for directing Quanta's enterprise-wide data and analytics function through multiple subordinate managers and technical leads. This position oversees a multi-disciplinary organization spanning data product development, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data infrastructure—ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and delivering transformative business value across the enterprise.

This leader manages through subordinate managers and technical leads who oversee specialized teams focused on critical business systems (Spectrum, JDE, OneStream, FleetIQ, PeopleIQ, OperationsIQ) and emerging analytics capabilities (Databricks, AI/ML). The role requires orchestrating complex, interdependent initiatives across multiple technology platforms while maintaining operational excellence and fostering innovation.

The Senior Manager provides strategic input into technology roadmaps, resource allocation, and organizational design decisions that affect the entire data and analytics function. This position serves as a key liaison between executive leadership and technical teams, translating business imperatives into executable technical strategies while ensuring the organization has the talent, tools, and processes to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.

What You'll Do Strategic Leadership & Organizational ManagementLead and develop a complex organization of 30+ data professionals through subordinate managers and technical leads across multiple specialized teamsProvide strategic direction for enterprise data initiatives spanning multiple business units and technology platformsInform and support execution of the long-term data platform modernization and data innovation roadmapDrive organizational design decisions including team structure, role definitions, and talent development strategiesManage resource allocation and prioritization across competing enterprise initiativesServe as primary escalation point for complex technical and organizational challengesCross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementPartner with executive leadership to shape data strategy and influence corporate decision-makingLead cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination between data products, analytics, infrastructure, and business stakeholdersEstablish governance frameworks for data quality, security, compliance, and operational excellence across the enterpriseCommunicate strategic vision and technical roadmaps to both technical and executive audiencesTechnology Strategy & InnovationDrive strategic planning and phased execution of enterprise data platform transformation initiativesDirect the evaluation, adoption, and implementation of enterprise analytics technologies and platformsOversee the development and maintenance of critical data products supporting core business operationsChampion modern data engineering practices, cloud-native architectures, and advanced analytics capabilitiesIdentify and champion innovative data solutions that create competitive advantage and operational efficiencyEnsure technical standards and best practices are consistently applied across all subordinate teamsOperational Excellence & DeliveryEnsure consistent delivery of high-quality analytics solutions across multiple concurrent initiativesEstablish and monitor key performance indicators for team productivity, solution quality, and business impactDrive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies across the data organizationManage vendor relationships and technology partnerships critical to organizational success What You'll Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or related field12+ years of progressive experience in data and analytics, with at least 7 years in leadership rolesDemonstrated experience managing through subordinate managers in complex, matrixed organizationsProven track record of leading multiple teams (25+ professionals) across diverse technical domainsDeep expertise in enterprise data architecture, analytics platforms, and modern data technologiesExperience managing enterprise-scale initiatives with budgets exceeding $5M annuallyStrong business acumen with ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomesExcellent executive communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience with Agile/SAFe methodologies at the portfolio or program levelTechnical CompetenciesEnterprise data platforms and cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, Databricks)Modern analytics tools and frameworks (SQL, Python, R, Spark)Business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)Data governance, security, and compliance frameworksDevOps/DataOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesEnterprise systems integration (ERP, CRM, operational systems)Leadership CompetenciesStrategic thinking and long-term planningOrganizational design and talent developmentChange management and transformation leadershipExecutive presence and influenceComplex problem-solving and decision-making under ambiguityBuilding high-performance, collaborative culturesNice to Have QualificationsMBA or advanced technical degreeExperience in utilities, energy, or infrastructure industriesAdvanced certifications in data management, cloud platforms, or analytics (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Azure)Experience with AI/ML productionization and MLOpsBackground in consulting or professional services with exposure to diverse business modelsTrack record of building and scaling analytics organizations from the ground up Equal Opportunity Employer
