Sr. Manager, Accounts Payable

This role is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the Accounts Payable function supported by the Costa Rica team. This role oversees the full AP lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes. The Senior Manager will lead a large team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen cross‑functional partnerships, and deliver high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a strong operational mindset, deep expertise in AP practices, and the ability to influence, guide, and support a high‑performing team in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. **How´ll make an impact:** • Manage large subordinate team members and oversee full cycle accounts payable process, including establishing objectives in support of the company's strategy for the department and ensuring staff is appropriately trained to perform assigned work. • Lead and serve as a SME on projects related to AP department. • Partner and build cross functional relationships with business partners (e.g., business units, supply chain, indirect sourcing) to resolve any vendor/payment issues and improve communication with internal and external customers. • Provide and develop progress reports and metrics to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders to monitor the state of the department. • Proactively identify, develop, and lead the implementation of policies and procedures to streamline accounts payable process. • Oversees month end AP accruals; accruals are completed timely and accurately. • Ensure SOX compliance over the accounts payable area; manage and oversee corrective action on any audit items. Review and updated SOX narratives annually or as needed. • Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership; Participate internal and external audit request. **What you´ll need (Required):** Bachelor's Degree in related fields and previous experience in accounts payable including demonstrated track record in managing accounts payable staff. **What else we look for (Preferred):** + 8+ years of experience working in Finance areas, and 3+ years of experience working in management roles. + Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. + Expert knowledge of full cycle AP process (e.g., supplier onboarding, PO creation, receiving, invoicing, 1099 reporting, etc.) + Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel and strong knowledge of accounts payable system. + ERP experience working with Coupa, Concur, JDE. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. + Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; possessing strong collaboration skills in partnering with cross functional stakeholders in order to achieve objectives, as well as mediating and negotiating the needs of other areas to achieve consensus. + Extensive understanding of procedures as it relates to assigned area of accounts payable including in-depth knowledge of assigned area of responsibility, including processes used across areas of responsibility. + Ability to analyze and identify potential adjustments to improve efficiency. + Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations. + Strict attention to detail. + Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels + Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment + Must be able to work with cross-functional teams as well as with colleagues from other departments, interacting daily with subordinates and/or peers within similar and/or related functions. + May represent the organization to outside contacts (e.g., vendors, suppliers, contractors, staffing agencies) + Ability to represent leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing project managers and finance team
