Sr. Mammography Technologist

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform mammography examinations in accordance with ACR, MQSA, and Optum standardsProvide direct patient care with a focus on comfort, safety, and service excellenceMaintain oversight of mammography quality assurance, including equipment calibration and daily performance checksEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements related to breast imagingManage and monitor imaging protocols, workflow efficiency, and adherence to best practicesSupport front office and nursing teams with technical guidance and operational problem solvingCollaborate with physician leaders to optimize patient flow and clinical outcomesOversee image archiving, documentation, and reporting processes typically supported by HIM in larger departmentsConduct staff education and training related to imaging safety, quality standards, and patient servicePartner with procurement and IT to support equipment maintenance, upgrades, and system integrationMonitor business outcomes, including exam volumes, patient satisfaction, and cost-effective resource utilizationLead and implement quality improvement initiatives specific to mammography servicesAct as the primary liaison for regulatory inspections and accreditation surveysEnsure timely communication with providers and staff regarding imaging results and workflow needsMaintain clinical competency and support ongoing professional development within the imaging team

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology programCurrent ARRT(M) and AZ licensureBLS through the American Heart Association2+ years of experience in mammography


Preferred Qualifications:

PACS and RISProficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirementsDemonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
