Summary: Seeking a Sr. Machinist for 2nd shift responsible for operating and maintaining production machines with a focus on lean initiatives and quality control.

Requirements:

Two years related machining experience Able to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry US Citizen only

Preferred Skills:

Effectively applies lean initiatives Interprets reports and uses job-specific software applications

Responsibilities:

Set up and run production machines Perform machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts Make necessary machine adjustments; report improper functioning or cutting action Perform operations like tapping, spot-facing, chamfering to close tolerances Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and methods Adjust feeds, speeds, depth of cut for quality parts per documentation Remove burrs or irregularities from machined parts; inspect parts for conformance using measuring instruments Maintain equipment cleanliness, accuracy, reliability; perform statistical process control (SPC) Participate in lean initiatives by identifying improvement areas; apply lean concepts in work area

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
