Sr. Logistics Specialist

The Senior Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations. This position is responsible for coordinating transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with logistics software, and a proven track record of improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies. Optimize transportation routes and carrier selection to reduce costs and improve delivery performance. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure product availability. Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and carriers. Ensure accurate documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork. Lead or support logistics-related projects, including system implementations and process improvements. Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior logistics staff. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations. Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and Incoterms. Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS, WMS). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
