Role Summary Rivian is seeking a Sr. Local Marketing Specialist to drive brand awareness and cultivate community engagement in emerging markets. This role is responsible for creating and implementing a localized marketing calendar, executing community events, overseeing marketing initiatives, and supporting in-store content across all retail locations. The specialist will also be tasked with reporting on the efficacy of local strategies. Ultimately, this position will play a key role in achieving brand objectives, nurturing community ties, and boosting retail site traffic and lead generation. A successful candidate for this role demonstrates a deep curiosity for experiential and retail marketing objectives, always applying a customer-first approach. You are equally comfortable thriving in a retail location, and engaging with customers and our community in the field. You excel in ambiguous and unexpected environments, tackling challenges with a flexible, solution-oriented mindset. Responsibilities Lead the design and execution of community events, marketing activations, and product demo drive events at Rivian retail locations and surrounding areas to deliver qualified traffic, increase awareness, and authentically build the Rivian brand. Cultivate a network of local partners, community leaders, content creators, artists, athletes, and non-profits that align with Rivian's vision and market objectives. Ensure all activations, events, in-store signage, and content meet brand, visual and program objectives, while aligning with Rivian's mission. Develop and execute detailed run-of-show plans for all events. Concept and execute location-specific experiential activations and educational programs, along with supporting marketing tactics, to foster genuine connections between the local community, Rivian customers, owners, and fans. Captures and submits real time photos of content and or signage execution as it relates to campaigns, product Launches, incentives or any other element or activation that may involve content. Manages the sourcing and execution of decor and hospitality elements for specialized events and activations, such as holidays. Ensures all materials align with Rivian's principles and guidelines, and that execution adheres to the communicated visual direction. Transport participants and gear to and from activity locations, exercising sound judgment and decision-making to mitigate risks and consistently provide a high level of service and hospitality. Stay attuned to the Rivian community, regularly surfacing Voice of Customer feedback. Identify, drive, and track relevant metrics of success, reporting on the impact of marketing tactics and the results of local community activations. Maintain a strong knowledge of all retail tools, including POS, CRM, and configuration resources, actively leveraging these platforms to generate leads and enhance customer experience. Perform day-to-day operational duties such as event production and support, back-of-house upkeep, food & beverage support, shipping and receiving duties, general space upkeep, cleaning duties, and building or maintaining visual displays as needed. Support various remote community activations, store openings, remodels, pop-ups, and special events as required. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Rivian company policies and procedures. Undertake additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or requested by retail leadership. Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in customer-facing field marketing, sales, education, hospitality, or community roles with highly experiential brands or non-profits; 2+ year in retail marketing, community engagement, event marketing, or event production preferred. At least 21 years of age The ability and willingness to travel regularly, up to 70% of the time, including driving to various worksites Able to support experiences and events, including mornings, nights, and weekends, as required.• Ability to support onsite event production, including lifting heavy equipment and standing for long durations A passion for bringing people together around common values and shared passions Proven ability to build authentic relationships with key stakeholders and translate high-level brand values through compelling experiences Energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging customer interaction style Ability to understand and articulate concepts in the technology and automotive space Resilience and ability to overcome objections using active listening and critical thinking Ability to multi-task while providing exceptional quality of work Ability to learn quickly, thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing timelines An obsessive approach to elevating the customer experience and commitment to taking every opportunity to over-deliver when it comes to delighting and interacting with our community Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and apply a scrappy and resourceful approach to everything you do Solve problems and overcome challenges with creativity and ingenuity Pay Disclosure Salary Range for Chicago, IL Based Applicants: $94,200 to $117,700 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
