The Opportunity
Abbott Medical Devices is seeking a Sr. IT Business Analyst at its Maple Grove, MN location. This role acts as the primary liaison between the IT function and key business units for Medical Device Labeling across Manufacturing, and Distribution Operations. This role will collaborate closely with label design, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to apply IT and business expertise in developing business requirements, supporting business case development, and implementing high-quality, resilient IT services. The analyst will play a critical role in shaping labeling strategies, improving IT service delivery, and solving technology-related business challenges. Additionally, the role involves coordination across business relationship management, strategy and planning, portfolio planning, and demand management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, solid IT knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Communication and Collaboration:
Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for IT-related matters related to Medical Device Labeling.
Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors as required.
Engage in BRM functional labeling leadership forums, openly collaborate on opportunities and challenges, partner across IT and business teams to ideate, identify, and action solutions.
Maintain and facilitate updates to relevant IT documentation to ensure efficient site operations.
Site IT Operations Management:Actively ensure IT labeling solutions and services are operating efficiently and effectively in supporting manufacturing, and distribution at the sites.
Responding to impacting labeling related business incidents interrupting the site or function from manufacturing, and shipping, complying with the Quality System.
Coordinate with plan/build/run IT team members and service providers to perform consistently with defined SLAs and quality standards.
Coordinate and execute IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
Act as the liaison to ensure qualified staff are providing IT support for the labeling processes and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and services issues.
Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their IT needs and requirements.
Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology solutions.
Develop detailed functional and technical specifications for new applications and system enhancements.
Conduct process and system design reviews to ensure project definition is aligned to desired business outcomes.
Where required, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
Project Management:
Oversee and guide small-to-medium-sized IT projects, with opportunities across planning, execution, and monitoring (inclusive of project plans, timelines, budgets, and quality documentation).
Engages with global, regional, and/or functional delivery teams to support large-scale project definition, planning, execution, implementation, and operations.
Support monitoring of project progress and regular status updates as required.
Support identification and mitigation of project risks and issues with IT and business leadership.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain IT cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and systems.
Appropriately support cybersecurity controls assessments, vulnerability assessments, and audits as appropriate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
Passion for IT, Infrastructure and Architecture
Degree in Computer Science, Networking or related IT field and
5-6 years of related IT experience
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
