Sr. Investment Accountant
Job Title: Senior Investment AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a Senior Investment Accountant who possesses extensive knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting standards and procedures. This role involves preparing and reviewing monthly entries to the general ledger, quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes, as well as statutory filings. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly entries to the general ledger, including accruals.Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes.Prepare and review quarterly and annual statutory filings and footnotes, including interrogatories.Reconcile various general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.Coordinate payments for external invoices.Review monthly files/reports from accounting vendors for accuracy and completeness.Communicate investment accounting matters to internal and external clients, regulatory entities, and investment staff.Collaborate with other departments for quarterly and annual deliverables according to their reporting requirements.Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for management and internal investment committee meetings.Coordinate and complete special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExpertise in GAAP and general ledger accounting.Experience in investment accounting.Advanced Excel skills.Minimum of 5 years of related experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred.SAP experience is an advantage.Investment accounting experience is beneficial.Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the office located in Eagan, MN. You will be part of a small, high-impact team with significant visibility to the CFO. This position is offered as a three-month contract role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
