Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Senior Graphics Integrator develops new packages from the ground up in close collaboration with the larger creative design team. The role requires expert knowledge in the integration and management of sports graphics packages, utilized in live game coverage and studio operations, as well as an appreciation for the technical aspects of the field, carefully balancing creativity with efficiency. This role is specific to the architecture, integration and playout of graphics packages in Chyron Prime, after the fundamental look and feel of a package has been created.

Responsibilities:

Create graphics package architecture from the ground up in collaboration with a small team of developers and creatives.Manage packages throughout the season, which includes the creation of new specialty elements consistent with the look and feel of each package.Prepare & maintain graphics for remote & studio using Chyron PRIME and Lyric.Provide technical support for operators and production teams.Create & maintain documentation for graphics packages and workflows.Manage and organize media and assets and create backups / archive graphic elements and data.Support Versant Sports properties by versioning and QC’ing approved graphics and toolkits.Understand and translate network’s brand strategy into quality design.Problem-solve and find creative graphic solutions under tight deadlines.

Qualifications5+ years’ experience in live sports remote / studio network environment.Expert in building and animating graphics within Chyron PRIME and Lyric platforms.Experience coding and maintaining VBScript and JavaScript.Experience with fundamental disk setup / integration for remote and studio events.Strong understanding of Remote / Studio Control Room and Edit Suite practices and general understanding of equipment capabilities (EVS, AUDIO, TD/Switchers, AVID).Working knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator).Ability to visualize “bigger picture” in the creation of functional graphic systems to support all aspects of graphic production while maintaining brand identity.Strong design and typography skillsStrong communication skillsMust be flexible, detail-oriented, deadline drivenSelf-starter, motivated and collaborative spirit

Desired Characteristics:

Knowledge of Camio systems and workflow best practicesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelProficiency in VizRT or Unreal Engine is a plusLove of sports is a plusPassion for show packaging and knowledge of current trends in graphic design
