Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
Experience:
10 years relevant post-graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry.
Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Instrumentation Engineering.
Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
Good communications and presentation skills with fluency in English.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation Engineering for all assigned engineering projects, achieving technical quality of work in accordance with company procedures while considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE.
Conduct Instrumentation Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
Ensure that technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed in work scopes and Instrumentation Engineering activities.
Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
Support Engineering Department to review, update, and apply internal standards and amendments to external standards.
Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidisciplinary engineers to provide timely delivery of technical services that meet project requirements.
Coordinate engineering designs, and develop and review multi-disciplinary work scopes to ensure comprehensiveness and clarity.
Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance and liaise with them to resolve technical issues.
Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, and contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling for effective project delivery.
Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
Review and evaluate Contract Changes/Variations to approved guidelines and practices.
Support the development of personal technical competency and skills and those of co-workers.
Participate in structured training for Associate Engineers.
