Job Description: 

Academic 

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical engineering 

- Licensed professional engineer is considered an asset 

- Formal Lean Six Sigma training is considered an asset 

- Masters degree is considered an asset 

Background 

- At least 15 years of practical experience in I&C design, selection, installation, commissioning. 

- Previous EPC, Oil & Gas experience is considered an asset. Focus 

- Instrumentation & Control 

- Electrical LV Desired Previous Experience 

- Instrumentation & control components calculation, selection, and integration 

- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection 

- Experience with HAZOP & LOPA 

- Self starter, positive, with a strong ability to work cross functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision 

- Thorough understanding of all applicable NA Electrical, & Safety standards o Experience with the following standards UL508, UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA 70, CSA equivalent, NEC, CEC, OSHA, and other standards for North America. 

- Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE. 

- Thorough background in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings, & LV 

- Good command of SPI, Conval, WSCAD, SEE Electrical, ePlan, AutoCad Electrical 

- Working understanding of Siemens PLC’s, analog/digital inputs, etc. 

- Experience with intrinsic safety calculations. 

- Experience with heat tracing calculations. 

- Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in North America. 

- Proactive person who takes ownership over the assigned duties. 

- Experience in international engineering teams. 

- Ability to work in design, & selection environments, as well as manufacturing & commissioning. 

- Must be able to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements. Can handle ambiguity by decoupling major goals into achievable work packages. 

- Ability to travel as needed.
