Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC factory. We’re looking for an Industrial Engineer who can assist the ACF with its production startup long term production planning. You’ll work both on the shop floor and also strategically to understand and help design robust, scalable operations for peak aerospace volume. And using your knowledge of the process, you’ll help coordinate with both operations for execution, and leadership for intermediate (3-6 month) and long (1-5 years) capacity, labor, and program plans. What You Will Do:
Be part of a cross functional team charged with standing up an automated connected facility in Asheville.Define and validate industrial model inputs through observation, time studies, and system collected feedback etc.Conduct Raytheon CORE Manufacturing Standard Work events to improve processes, assist with layout (re)design for process flow.Use P&W Industrial Engineering standard industrial models and simulation tools to manage and balance the value stream.Conduct analysis to identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness (OEE & OLE).Work with management team to define production scheduling, operator shift requirements and capital requirements plan.Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years experience in Industrial or Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We Prefer:
Proficient in NX, Plant Sim and Process Sim packages.Master’s degree in industrial or systems engineering; MBA.Knowledge of turbine blade value stream and casting processes.Data mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, other methods.Green Belt Six Sigma Certification.Lean Manufacturing Certification.Learn More & Apply Now:
