Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager who is passionate about people and committed to fostering a safe and supportive work environment. This strategic leadership role calls for an experienced HR professional with a strong background in implementing best practices across all areas of human resources. Key responsibilities include overseeing the HR team, managing employee relations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving talent and performance management, coordinating training and development programs, and administering workers’ compensation claims. This leader will be instrumental in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals, maintaining compliance with employment laws, and cultivating a workplace culture that is safe, positive, and high performing.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goalsDrive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning and talent strategiesOversee employee relations to ensure a positive and compliant environmentCoach leadership on goal setting, feedback, and development planningDevelop retention strategies and succession planning initiativesPartner with internal Talent Acquisition and external recruiters to attract and hire top talentPartner with department managers to identify training needs and coordinate development programsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsOversee management of LOA programsOversee company Attendance policyLead and develop HR team members to ensure high performance of teamUse data to identify trends and recommend improvement and track HR metricsPartner with divisional and corporate HR and HR support as necessaryPartner with EHS teams to ensure safety compliance in the workplacePartner with Workers Compensation teams to manage open cases

 Required Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong presentation skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft applicationsIn depth knowledge of CA labor lawsProficient with Workday and other HRIS software applicationsAbility to handle competing priorities and manage time effectively

 Required Experience:

10+ years in Human Resources, with progressive advancement to include leading an HR departmentExperience within manufacturing desired

 Level of Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is requiredMaster’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline is preferred

For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 30% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company’s performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
