Sr. Human Resources Business Partner

Position Summary:
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as a strategic partner, consultant, and operational HR leader within the organization. This role is responsible for managing employee relations, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting talent development initiatives across assigned locations. The Sr HRBP collaborates closely with management to align HR strategies with business objectives, foster a positive work environment, and drive organizational effectiveness. The HRBP proactively assesses, anticipates, and communicates HR-related needs and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.  This position is located in Dallas, Texas and supports our Regional Headquarters building.  This position reports to the Region Chief Human Resources Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a primary point of contact for HR-related issues within assigned offices, providing guidance and support to management and employees.Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, new hire benefits orientation, and exit procedures.Act as an employee champion and change agent.Consults with assigned Office leadership team, providing HR guidance and policy interpretation when appropriate.Leads employee relations investigations, provide coaching to managers, and resolve workplace issues with a focus on fair and consistent handling.Partners with MMC Employee Relations for guidance and utilizes approved forms and procedures.Makes recommendations that eliminates or reduces risk to the organization and/or builds employee engagement.Escalates issues to the Chief Human Resources Officer, when warranted.Support performance management processes, including coaching managers and facilitating performance reviews.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).Develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals, including talent development, engagement, and retention strategies.Collaborate with leadership to develop talent scorecards, succession plans, and leadership development programs.Drive employee engagement initiatives, analyze HR trends and metrics, and recommend action plans to improve morale and productivity.Includes action planning associated with the annual employee engagement survey.Ensure legal compliance with employment laws and maintain accurate employee documentation.Maintains working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Partners with the legal department as needed/required.Manages employee electronic files and appropriate documentation.Leads or supports HR projects related to organizational development, change management, and process improvements.Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment among HR colleagues and management.Actively engages in associations and industry events as a leader in HR best practices and building a best place to work culture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.5+ years of HR experience, including resolving complex employee relations issues, talent management, and strategic HR initiatives.Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, including compensation practices, and organizational development.Experience in coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management.  Able to effectively influence and manage relationships with stakeholders.Data analysis skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and develop data-driven strategies.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Works well with a team and values collaboration.Preferred certifications include SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.

Location & Travel:

Based in Dallas, TX, with periodic travel to other offices as needed.
