ASSA ABLOY is looking for a Senior Health & Safety Supervisor to join our team! This position will be based onsite out of our manufacturing plant located in Tijuana, Mexico.

What would you do as our Senior Health & Safety Supervisor?

You will be responsible for guaranteeing a safe and healthy work environment, implementing and supervising policies, procedures and programs of safety and hygiene. Its main objective is to prevent occupational accidents, injuries and diseases, as well as ensure compliance with legal and regulatory regulations.

 

 

You would also:

Prepare and update plans and programs that promote safety and health at work, ensuring compliance in all areas of the company. Regularly inspect the facilities, equipment, machinery and processes to identify potential hazards and evaluate compliance with safety standards. Analyze the causes of incidents and accidents, proposing corrective and preventive measures to avoid repeating. Develop training programs to ensure that employees are aware of risks and prevention measures. Ensures that employees have the appropriate PPE and use it correctly during their work. Verify and ensure that the company complies with all laws, regulations and applicable norms in terms of safety and hygiene. Prepare reports on inspections, incident research, training programs and other aspects related to safety and hygiene. Execute weekly safety talks. Be responsible for Safety Metrics Other duties as required/assigned. Continually promotes a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy

 

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

Industrial Engineering preferred coupled with 5 years of experience in a similar function within a manufacturing environment. Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision. Highly organized with the ability to set and manage priorities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Familiarity of incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
