AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts, and feature designs. As part of the AWS WWSO GTM organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. As an Efficient Compute Solutions Architect (SA), you will partner with engineering, product management, business development, and technical field teams to drive the enablement and adoption of Graviton-based Instances. You will also be part of broader team initiatives that will include supporting customer adoption of Spot instances. Your day-to-day will include authoring white papers, blog posts, reference architectures, do presentations to enable customers and partners to understand and leverage the value of Efficient Compute architectures. As a Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to redefine how customers create and consume efficient applications. As a technical expert and thought leader in the specialist team, you will work major customers across a broad array of engagements.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a deep understanding of cloud, use cases, architectures, workflows, frameworks and tools. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a Solutions Architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs), are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. As an Efficient Compute SA, you will work closely with product engineering teams to help drive the evolution and adoption of scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application, modernize portions of their code, help identify dependencies or designing entirely new architectures.
Key job responsibilities
- Support our most innovative customers to run their large scale workloads on our Graviton instances and SPOT Instances.
- Partner closely with the engineering, business development, and technical field teams in Korea to drive the enablement and adoption of AWS Graviton based EC2 instances.
- Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
- Share what you learn when you develop white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to understand and leverage the value of EC2 Graviton instances.
- Lead the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to redefine how customers create and consume cloud services at a scale not seen before.
- 30% travel estimated.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in designing/implementing/consulting on distributed applications.
- Extensive experience in private and public cloud computing technologies (i.e., AWS platform) and architectural best practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering best practices for code performance tuning.
- Technical acumen, including the ability to understand the client's IT landscape, identify opportunities, and overcome any technical obstacles, ultimately influencing the adoption of the AWS platform along with business requirements.
- Leadership capability with strong presentation and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse set of customers or partners across multiple disciplines, and maintain a high degree of comfort with both technical and executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
- Understanding of low-level architectures and successful migration of applications from x86 to Graviton-based instances.
- Other modern programming languages (Python, C/C++, Go, .Net, Rust, etc), cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud (AWS Preferred)
- Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development lifecycle tools and methodologies
- Fluent English & Work control of Spanish
