Sr. Fund Associate
Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Fund Accountant to join our finance team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting fund-level accounting and reporting across multiple real estate investment vehicles. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in public accounting, hands-on private company experience in the RE/PE industry, and a hybrid accounting and finance mindset. This role offers exposure to both traditional accounting responsibilities and performance reporting, fund modeling, and investor reporting initiatives. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds in accordance with US GAAP (real estate focus) + Manage capital activity including capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and IRR calculations + Support fund audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators + Reconcile investment activity, equity contributions/distributions, and intercompany accounts across fund structures + Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for fund-level and consolidated reporting + Partner with acquisitions, asset management, and investor relations teams to provide fund-level performance metrics + Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures related to fund accounting + Support fundraising efforts through the preparation of data rooms, investor reports, and due diligence materials Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred + 4–7 years of relevant experience, including a foundation in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and in-house experience within real estate or private equity funds + Solid understanding of real estate fund structures (LP/GP, JVs, co-investments) and related accounting treatment + Familiarity with capital structures, preferred returns, and waterfall mechanics + Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi, Investran, MRI, or similar platforms a plus + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
