Sr. FPGA Development Engineer, Antenna Calibration, Amazon Leo
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As an FPGA engineer for antenna systems, you will collaborate with systems architects, hardware engineering design teams & FW/SW design teams to bring up and test systems combining FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functions and build advanced tools for the following:

- Lead the design and implementation of complex embedded systems
- Design software for high-volume phased array manufacturing
- Develop calibration software for on-orbit applications
- Characterizing subsystems and systems related to antennas
- Complex data storage
- Hardware test automation
- Firmware design and implementation
- Application development
- Design automation for 2D and 3D structures
- Develop bring up tools and scripts for phased array systems

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Have ownership of one or more FPGA bitstreams
- Collaborate with network communication system architects to define and design/implement/test/release/support networking functions targeted to FPGA technology
- Collaborate with RF and Digital Communications engineers to implement digital logic functions in FPGAs
- Drive trade-off analysis to benefit the Customer experience
