The Sr. Financial Analyst provides decision support by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, as well as forecasting business trends to support the overall strategic and operating plans of Advance Auto Parts.
These include Customer Acceleration/Transformation, Availability Excellence and Superior Experience by driving profitable growth through rigorous analysis and insight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ownership of the periodic financial forecast process for multiple operational departments, including meeting with business partners, documenting drivers of change, and upload of changes to the financial systemProvide detailed P&L variance analysis on periodic, quarterly, and annual financial results for the transportation departmentProvide insights to business partners to increase organizational financial acumen, and allow for fully informed decision making to drive financial performanceMap existing business processes and propose changes to improve speed, quality, and overall operational efficiencyTrack capital expenses and performance of related assets; ensure capitalization occurs in correct period and depreciation flows to the P&L as expectedParticipate in the development of long-range financial forecasts and related budgets, considering alternative scenarios and economic prospects as appropriateProvide fact-based financial analysis, economic modeling and ad-hoc analysis that supports the business case for proposed investmentQUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Business is required, (MBA preferred); and3-5 years of financial and business analysis experience; orEquivalent combination of education and experience.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
