**Job Summary**
The Sr. Finance Consultant plays a pivotal role in shaping long-term corporate influence by integrating financial planning with strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies that align financial models with business objectives, forecasting future scenarios, and delivering actionable insights to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned strategist with a strong FP&A foundation and a proven ability to translate financial data into impactful business decisions.
**Role Description**
+ Work closely with the VP FP&A to model complex strategy scenarios that underpin SHI’s long term goals
+ Develop and refine corporate strategies by integrating financial planning with market insights, operational goals, and risk assessments.
+ Analyze financial performance metrics, variances, and trends to provide recommendations on investment priorities, cost optimization, and revenue growth.
+ Collaborate with senior executives to shape corporate influence through data-backed proposals, including M&A, expansion strategies, and capital allocation.
+ Design and implement FP&A frameworks, including KPI dashboards, financial simulations, and sensitivity analyses using advanced tools.
+ Conduct ad-hoc strategic projects such as competitive benchmarking, ROI evaluations, and impact assessments of regulatory or economic changes.
+ Present financial strategies and recommendations to Senior Leaders, ensuring clarity and alignment with the company’s vision.
**Behaviors and Competencies**
+ Exceptional presentation and data storytelling skills (PowerPoint) with the ability to distil complex analysis into clear insights and actions.
+ Expertise in financial planning tools and methodologies, , advanced Excel modeling, and PowerBI platforms.
+ Proven ability to influence company direction through strategic financial recommendations.
+ Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques (e.g., DCF, NPV), and scenario planning.
+ Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate business needs and translate them into actionable financial plans.
+ Familiarity with GAAP/ standards and regulatory compliance.
+ Leadership experience, including team management and cross-functional collaboration.
**Skill Level Requirements**
+ Ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for accurate financial reporting – Expert
+ The skill to effectively learn and apply cost modeling tools, licensing workbooks, and ROI calculations for financial analysis and decision-making – Expert
+ The ability to understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and build strong, long-term customer relationships through a consultative approach - Expert
+ Comprehension of the inner workings of a company, including its market positioning, competitive dynamics, and operational processes, to inform decision-making and drive sustainable growth - Expert
+ The ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently. - Expert
**Other Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
+ 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate strategy, or financial consulting.
+ Advanced certification in a relevant technical area required
