Sr. Finance Associate
Description Investment & Investor Reporting Associate Location: Boca Raton, FL (In-Office) Position Overview We are seeking a high-caliber Investment & Investor Reporting Associate to join the finance team of a private equity–backed platform undergoing rapid growth. This role is ideal for candidates with prior investment banking or private equity experience who are looking to move closer to the asset, gain exposure to portfolio-level decision-making, and play a central role in investor reporting, financial analysis, and M& A execution. The Associate will partner closely with senior leadership, the private equity sponsor, and the Board of Directors to deliver institutional-quality reporting, performance analytics, and transaction support. This role offers hands-on exposure across acquisitions, integration, forecasting, and strategic initiatives, with visibility at the highest levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities Investor Reporting & Performance Analysis + Prepare monthly and quarterly investor and Board reporting packages, including financial statements, KPIs, variance analysis, and performance narratives. + Analyze portfolio and operating company performance across revenue streams, margins, cash flow, and return metrics. + Develop and maintain standardized reporting frameworks, dashboards, and data packs used by executive leadership and the PE sponsor. + Support lender reporting, covenant analysis, and ad hoc investor requests. Financial Modeling & Forecasting + Build and maintain robust operating models, three-statement forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic planning. + Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis processes. + Develop and track financial and operational KPIs aligned with value creation initiatives. + Perform cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure analyses. M& A and Corporate Development + Support acquisition evaluation and execution, including financial diligence, quality-of-earnings analysis, valuation, and synergy modeling. + Prepare investment memos, IC materials, and transaction presentations for senior management and investors. + Assist with post-close integration modeling, tracking of acquisition performance, and realization of synergies. Strategic & Cross-Functional Finance + Partner with Operations, FP& A, Accounting, and Business Unit leaders to translate data into actionable insights. + Conduct ad hoc analyses related to pricing, cost structure optimization, capital allocation, and operational efficiency. + Support strategic initiatives tied to growth, margin expansion, and return enhancement. Requirements Qualifications Required + 2-4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a similarly rigorous analytical role. + Strong foundation in financial statement analysis, accounting principles, and cash flow dynamics. + Advanced financial modeling skills, including three-statement models, DCF, LBO, and sensitivity analyses. + Expert-level Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables; VBA/macros a plus). + Experience preparing executive- and investor-ready reporting and presentation materials. + Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and data integrity. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate financial insights. + Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment with high expectations and tight deadlines. + U.S. work authorization required. Preferred + Prior exposure to portfolio company reporting, Board materials, or LP-facing deliverables. + Experience in FP& A, management reporting, or operating company finance. + Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI, or other BI/reporting tools. + Exposure to acquisition integration, operational analytics, or multi-site businesses. + Background in industrial services, environmental services, or other asset-intensive, scaled platforms.
