Overview / What we are looking for:
 

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Williams-Sonoma you will support eCommerce produc;on 
opera;ons on the eCommerce Support team as an engineer who solves problems at root cause. You 
already enjoy solving problems with code, which is why you’re a balanced engineer, at home both in 
applica;on code wriCen by others, as well as designing your own app from scratch. Your documenta;on 
and communica;on skills are above par and you have prior experience working in a produc;on support 
capacity as a full-stack, Site Reliability, Produc;on Opera;ons, similar Engineer. 
Your primary focus will be on the resilience, operability, stability, and scalability of the Williams-Sonoma 
family of brands’ eCommerce websites and to ensure that the websites maintain op;mal availability for 
our users. You will collaborate with a full-stack team of peers to monitor, detect, and inves;gate site 
behaviors, correct and enhance code already in produc;on, deliver features, and facilitate more efficient 
soJware business process. 
 

Requirements / Qualifica*ons:

• Strong troubleshoo;ng skills u;lizing log analysis, applica;on performance management (APM), 
real user monitoring (RUM), developer tools, and localhost tes;ng 
• Strong full stack, Java and/or Javascript skills 
• Experience providing hands-on monitoring as well as authoring monitoring and aler;ng using 
mul;ple toolsets 
• Demonstrable history of produc;on opera;ons issue management and response 
• Track record of success wri;ng English for a business audience 
• Ability to lead a technical team of interdisciplinary peers toward issue resolu;on 
• Strong organiza;onal skillset and ability to track mul;ple issues to resolu;on 
• Ability to master mul;ple subject maCer areas and train and mentor peers and stakeholders 
• Ability to collaborate with internal support and engineering teams and 3rd party vendors on 
problems and solu;ons 
• Exemplary prac;ce of documen;ng findings, providing evidence 
• Experience wri;ng standard opera;ng procedures and rigorous adherence to same 
• Experience u;lizing issue/workflow ;cket tracking systems 
• B.S. degree in CS or 2+ years of applica;on development experience in a professional seZng 
• 3yrs experience suppor;ng produc;on services 
• Self-mo;vated and collabora;ve 
• E-commerce industry experience is a plus.
