Job Description:
The Effector RF Products Team at Raytheon is seeking a talented Sr. Engineer Nose Cone Lead to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The candidate will serve as the High Temperature Nosecone REA for an Advanced Technology development program. The program is currently in the EMD phase and will be transitioning to Integration, Test, and Production in the next 4 years. The selected candidate will be expected to lead nosecone activities as part of an interdisciplinary team.
This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do:
Oversee the development of parallel nosecone designs and drive a downselect decision for the final design.Oversee the fabrication, assembly, test, and delivery of nosecones for the MTA program, as well as the recently awarded FCA and 1.0 contracts.Lead a team of 15-20 engineers across multiple disciplines including RF design, mechanical design, aero/thermal/structural analysis, materials and processes engineering, RF analysis and test engineers.Coordinate efforts with various stakeholders, including programs, Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects, customers, suppliers, and industry partners.Plan and execute testing to characterize the thermal, structural, and RF performance of the components.Follow the design through Guidance Section integration and test.Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and experience to include any combination of the following:Design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of high temperature nosecone materials including including RF design, mechanical design, aero/thermal/structural analysis, materials and processes engineering, RF analysis and test engineers.Leading a multi-disciplined team in the development and demonstration of a complex product.Experience planning, managing, and executing large-scale projects (>10 people).Active and transferable US Government security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:
8+ years of leadership/management experience.Experience planning, managing, and executing large-scale projects.Experience in design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of high-temperature nosecone materials.Knowledge of RF characteristics of materials and their impact on system requirements.Experience in quartz lamp testing, hot moment load testing, vibration/shock testing.Experience briefing customers on high visibility contract efforts.Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills.What We Offer:

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
