Sr. Embedded Developer
Job Description Our client, a large Biopharma company in the U.S., is looking for an embedded systems engineer who can work on capturing data off lab instruments and send that data to a cloud data storage platform. This person will be working on a variety of use cases focusing on data capture from instruments connected to both Windows and Mac computers. They will work closely with the SMEs who use the systems to understand data capture requirements and implement custom software solutions against those requirements. This individual will have to be physically present at one of our USA sites (Bothell WA, St. Louis MO, or Andover MA) 2-3 times a week to interface with SMEs and work hands-on with instruments. Skills and Requirements Skills / Experience • Ability to commute to one of our USA sites 2-3 times per week (Bothell WA, St. Louis MO, or Andover MA) • 2+ years developing drivers or data capture solutions for embedded systems • 2+ years of experience with a systems language (C, C++, or Go preferred) • Experience with a source control provider (eg. git) • Experience interfacing with non-technical stakeholders and distilling requirements • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or similar • Experience writing a device driver • Experience with SQL systems (eg. Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, or any other RDBMS) • Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, FAA, etc) • Experience interfacing with scientists
