Join us. **Job Description** We're looking for an experienced and innovative Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to complex, multi-disciplinary electrical engineering projects while leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior team members. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical design solutions that drive project success and exceed client expectations. + Lead the design and development of electrical distribution systems for low voltage and high voltage applications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards + Prepare and review comprehensive technical deliverables including Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specifications, Control Philosophies, and Control Network Architecture + Perform detailed equipment sizing calculations for transformers, generators, cables, AC UPS systems, and capacitor banks with precision and analytical rigor + Conduct system studies including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, motor starting studies, and protection relay setting calculations using industry-standard software + Design and calculate indoor lighting, outdoor area illumination, and street illumination using Dialux or vendor-specific software + Perform earthing and lightning protection calculations to ensure system safety and reliability + Provide technical input into project design deliverables and work collaboratively with project management teams to successfully manage timelines and budgets + Lead and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering a supportive, inclusive work environment + Work independently on moderately complex projects while exercising sound judgment to solve challenging technical problems + Actively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions + Adhere to quality assurance standards by conducting thorough checks and reviews of own work and that of team members + Provide comprehensive technical support for bid proposals and client presentations **Qualifications** **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E.) or Master's degree (M.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university **Required Experience:** + Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design and project delivery + Proven expertise in designing electrical distribution systems for both low voltage and high voltage applications + Demonstrated experience in all phases of design: Concept, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), and Detail Design + Strong background in equipment sizing calculations and system analysis + Experience with load flow, short circuit, motor starting, and protection relay setting studies + Proficiency in preparing design basis documents, load lists, cable schedules, interconnection schedules, and bulk material takeoffs (MTO) **Technical Skills & Tools:** + Advanced proficiency with electrical design software and system studies tools (ETAP, SKM, Amtech, or equivalent) + Hands-on experience with Dialux or vendor-specific software for lighting design and calculations + Expertise in creating Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, schematics, and control network architecture + Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices + Proficiency in earthing and lightning protection design and calculations **Professional Competencies:** + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach + Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines + Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment + Strong organizational skills and commitment to quality assurance + Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering innovative solutions + Resilience and adaptability in managing complex technical challenges **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in specialized sectors such as water/wastewater treatment, desalination, or industrial facilities + Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools + Experience with technical documentation and report writing + Knowledge of renewable energy systems or sustainable electrical design practices **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
