Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting control systems for high-speed canning machinery in the food and beverage industry.
Job Requirements
BSEE or extensive electrical machine controls and logic design experience
8+ years of controls design and engineering for high-speed machinery
Proficiency with Rockwell Studio 5000 PLC programming
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical (preferred) or AutoCAD
Experience implementing machine safety using relays and safety PLCs
Experience troubleshooting machinery using electrical/wiring diagrams and PLC logic
Knowledge of CE (European safety standards)
Preferred Skills
Experience text-based PLC programming in addition to ladder logic
Background in electrical design for food and beverage processing or packaging equipment
Experience integrating safety circuits and risk reduction measures to meet CE and other safety standards
Job Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical control systems for high-speed canning machinery in the food and beverage industry
Program, test, and debug Rockwell Studio 5000 PLC code and associated HMI/SCADA functionality
Create and update electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD
Implement and validate machine safety circuits using safety relays and safety PLCs in compliance with CE and applicable standards
Troubleshoot control system issues using wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and diagnostic tools to resolve machine performance and downtime problems
Support commissioning, startup, and optimization of canning machinery control systems at the plant or customer sites
Collaborate with mechanical and process engineering teams to define control requirements and integrate electrical systems into overall machine design
Document designs, code, and test results to support maintenance, future modifications, and compliance requirements
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
