The Sr. Drive System Engineer will provide technical leadership in the application of Variable Systems in Naval, Commercial Marine, and General Industries.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Define system requirements based on customer specifications and project objectives.Conduct system-level simulations and analyses to optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry standards. Also, perform system-level testing and validation to verify functionality and performance.Plan and execute drive system upgradesCollaborate with other engineering teams to integrate subsystems and components into the overall system design.Ensure the earliest mobilization of adequate engineering skills and resources in line with engineering activities requirements (workload and complexity) and associated budgets.Issue/prepare change orders from an engineering point of view with the Project Manager for further release to the Customer.Ensure proper distribution of engineering documents, internally and externally.Participate in CMR (Change Management Review), Project reviews.Provide oversight and training to other engineers in the application of Variable Speed Drive systemsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 10 years of experience in EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering.Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
