ADP is hiring a Sr. Director, Accounting
We have an exciting Sr. Director, Accounting role that open that reports directly to ADP’s Corporate Controller and is responsible for overseeing certain accounting functions while performing a leadership role concerning accounting issues and accounting procedures. The position will focus on standardization and operating efficiencies through business process transformation while focusing on financial statement integrity and strong internal controls. In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing any projects related ADP's accounting systems, and all accounting policies and procedures, while conserving the integrity of our financial systems and management controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial and Operational Excellence:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department Managing and supervising the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices Ensures that key controls in place are assessed and amended, as necessary, based upon the nature of transformation initiatives and that post implementation they are functioning in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley Legislation Seeks to maximize operational efficiency across the accounting organization by enhancing, developing, implementing and enforcing policies, procedures and systems that will improve overall effectiveness and control for the company Assists in the development, maintenance and standardization of financial and operational policies / procedures across business segments Coordinates acquisition-integration efforts with other project resources Acts as finance point of contact for the field Accounting Directors to direct accounting and various requests of the accounting function.Organizational and Strategic Leadership:
Managing and supervising an accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management Fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance. Deliberately builds capability for short and long term. Sets direction, goals and expectations about performance, holds associates accountable for results, and provides appropriate and constructive feedback. Coaches and develops associates. Delegates responsibilities to associates, to execute every day and to continuously leverage associates’ strengths. Fosters associate development and personally demonstrates resilience, persistence, and curiosity. Champion a culture of innovation, inclusion, and curiosity to drive transformation.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA certification preferred 12+ years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role Strong leadership and management skills Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to work under pressurePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
MBA, Master’s in Finance, Executive MBA Program; or Graduate of Finance Leadership Development Program. Deep understanding of financial close, consolidation, reporting, and management performance analytics. Familiarity with various financial systems and technologies, including ERP systems and data analytics platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, expertise in financial modeling and forecasting, proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
