Sr. Director, Finance Transformation

Daikin Applied is hiring a Senior Director, Finance Transformation Reporting to the SVP, Finance & IT.  The person in this role will lead strategic initiatives to modernize and optimize Daikin’s finance function.

The Sr. Director, Finance Transformation will focus on digital transformation, process improvement, and organizational change across financial operations, ensuring alignment with Daikin’s corporate strategy and long-term growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Define and implement a transformative roadmap for core finance processes including closing, forecasting, reporting, compliance, project finance, treasury, and tax.Develop a plan that implements best practices, robust compliance, and implementation in business systems such that the vision is achieved in a manner which is fast enough to meet the needs of the business while balancing the ongoing work of the business.Align transformation initiatives with business needs, compliance standards, and system capabilities.Collaborate across departments to assess impact, gather input, and drive adoption of new practices.Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide finance initiatives.Drive adoption of new tools, systems, and ways of working across the finance function.Maintain an ongoing communication rhythm with the entire business to understand the impact of the change, collect feedback on what is working and what needs to be changed, and motivate people to embrace new ways of working.Establish and lead structured change management framework for finance operations.Ensure stakeholder engagement, defect-free, implementation, and continuous feedback loops.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management.12+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in finance transformation and finance business partnering.Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment.Expertise of modern finance technologies (ERP, RPA, cloud platforms, BI tools)Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing finance teams.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with proven experience collaborating across all levels of the organization.Work sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Experience:

Process development or business process redesign experience.MBA and CPA.Manufacturing industry experience.

The typical salary for this position ranges from $142,600 to $243,600 in MN plus a 30% annual variable bonus. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
