Job DescriptionThe Senior Director of Corporate Accounting plays a key leadership role in driving Visa’s global financial consolidation and operational accounting excellence. This role leads critical accounting functions including the Global Consolidation, Treasury Accounting and Compensation & Benefits Accounting, while fostering collaboration and championing continuous improvement. With a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, this leader will partner across the organization to ensure world-class financial reporting and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Consolidation & Reporting
Direct Visa’s monthly global financial consolidation process
Oversee global intercompany eliminations, consolidated financial statement preparation, and flux analysis reporting
Accounting Leadership
Lead accounting for key corporate functions including Treasury (cash, settlements, investments, hedging) and Compensation & Benefits (payroll, stock-based comp, equity)
Manage monthly close activities ensuring journal accuracy, reconciliation, and timely variance analysis
Compliance & Controls
Maintain strong Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance by overseeing internal control processes and documentation
Recommend enhancements to controls and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with global teams including Treasury, Corporate IT, Finance Systems, and Finance leadership to streamline and standardize accounting operations
Liaise closely with Visa’s shared service center in Bangalore to align and optimize work processes across regions
Process Optimization & Automation
Champion a culture of continuous improvement by implementing automation tools and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual workload
Team Development & Leadership
Build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing global accounting team
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment with a focus on growth and excellence.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
CPA or international equivalent
Big Four public accounting background
Experience in large, publicly traded, multinational organizations
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Proven success leading high-performing teams and driving complex accounting operations
Advanced proficiency in accounting systems including Oracle Financial Close and Consolidation (FCC), Blackline, and Quantum
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities
Collaborative leadership style with experience in a global, matrixed organization
Change agent mindset with a demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive transformation
Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 200,000.00 to 312,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
