To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What you’ll be doing** Reporting to the VP, Everyday Banking Product Development & Benefits Strategy, the Sr Director, Consumer Cards will be responsible for the development and management of all of CIBC’s Proprietary Consumer Cards including Aventura, Dividend, Adapta & Select portfolios as well as all embedded benefits associated with those products. You will be involved in ownership of the P&L, decisions related to the value propositions, product constructs (features & benefits), card design, client experience and production issues related to all cards under the portfolio. This role will lead and/or influence strategic direction for our engagement, pricing and marketing programs to grow purchase volume and outstanding balances. Responsibilities also include ensuring ongoing competitiveness of credit card products by developing a robust view of competitive and regulatory environment and building features, benefits and processes that deliver compelling value to clients that are easy to sell, use and service. The role will require technical capabilities and the ability to understand and deal with legal/regulatory/technical complexities. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How you’ll succeed** + **Strategy development** – Lead the development of the growth strategy for the CIBC Proprietary Consumer Cards suite of products. You will be responsible for the P&L of the products portfolios including revenue and profit growth, interchange management and expenses related to card benefits. You will own the product related policies and processes to ensure a strong client experience. You will lead a highly productive and engaged team to deliver best in class products and services to existing and prospective clients. You will also be the Product lead for the quarterly LE financial calls working in conjunction with the Cards Finance team. + **Product development** – Conduct ongoing product portfolio assessments including market, opportunity and profitability analysis to optimize product offering based on strategic direction and target segments; Conduct research to determine any potential gaps in product offer and opportunities that may increase competitiveness of our products; Review client experience assessments to look for opportunities to improve product offer and client journey; Drive the key strategic priorities to establish the Aventura and Dividend portfolios as market leaders of Rewards cards in Canada. + **Strategic marketing** - Sponsor/champion/support related initiatives that build revenue, including quality marketing promotions and distribution/channel strategies; Work closely with Consumer Marketing team to establish the Aventura, Adapta and Dividend brands and key marketing messages. Monitor competitive space in Canada and globally to identify innovative benefits that help differentiate our cards in the market; Leverage existing partners such as Visa & MasterCard to consult and help deliver best in class products; Work closely with Card Benefits and Partnership teams to deliver value added products and services to differentiate our cards in the Canadian marketplace. + **Partner management** – Establish the Strategic direction and 3-5 business plan; Ongoing prioritization of initiatives against business imperatives/strategies and working with internal partners to achieve alignment and focus; Foster relationships with key business partners across PSB, CC&I and Technology to ensure the business is well positioned to achieve its business and financial objectives; Lead partner relationship to grow portfolio and meet Business Case objectives + **People management/ leadership** - Create and sustain a high performing, inspired workplace which is consistent with the values of CIBC and ensure that progressive approaches are used in the management of human resources. This includes: champion coaching model for managers; align employee reward and recognition around positive customer experience; ensuring consistent Performance Management practices throughout the business; career and succession planning; calibration sessions within team and across division. **Who you are** + **You can demonstrate experience in** deep understanding of the Canadian and Global Credit Card and Payments business; Strong comprehension of a product line P/L along with solid grasp on the major drivers of business success; Knowledge of financial services and banking industry overall with specific in-depth knowledge of the Cards industry trends, innovations, best practices and regulatory environment, sufficient to analyze, interpret and develop recommendations to the benefit of CIBC. + **You can demonstrate** strong knowledge of bank operations required to participate in the design and implementation of processes and tools.
