The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Scientist specializing in AI/ML and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and deploying advanced AI/ML models, with a particular focus on LLMs, in enterprise or government environments. This role requires a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and cybersecurity compliance.


Responsibilities:

Develop, fine-tune, and deploy AI/ML models, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, LLaMA, or ClaudeDesign and implement NLP and generative AI solutions for complex enterprise or government projectsBuild end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and deploymentIntegrate AI/ML models into secure or cloud-hosted environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)Work with vector databases and develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelinesEnsure AI/ML solutions comply with RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI/ML opportunitiesStay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML and LLM technologiesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientistsCreate comprehensive documentation for AI/ML models and processes




Qualifications:

Required: 

Active DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher) must be obtainableMust be willing to work on site in Norco, CACurrent CompTIA Security+ (CE) certification5+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML models in enterprise or government environmentsHands-on experience fine-tuning and applying LLMs for NLP and generative tasksStrong programming skills in PythonProficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learnProven experience in data analytics, feature engineering, and building end-to-end ML pipelinesFamiliarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelinesExperience integrating AI/ML models into secure or cloud-hosted environmentsKnowledge of RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity compliance practicesExcellent documentation, collaboration, and communication skillsAdvanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (preferred)

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300 - 189,600 USD
