ARCADE Science and Analytics team (support MCF and BwP business) is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Data Scientist to solve innovative problems through advanced analytics and machine learning solutions. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Data Scientist to tackle complex data challenges that span numerous systems and organizations. The scope includes identifying new business opportunities through data-driven insights, predictive modeling, and deep analysis of supply chain patterns and customer behaviors.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can build and deploy sophisticated machine learning models while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will possess extensive experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization, preferably with applications in eCommerce, transportation, finance, retail technology, or logistics.
The role requires both deep technical expertise in data science and machine learning, as well as business acumen to understand how analytics can drive business value. If you're passionate about building large-scale machine learning systems and working with Amazon-scale data to optimize complex systems - then this is the job for you. Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will:
- Design and implement advanced machine learning models and statistical analyses
- Transform complex business problems into science and analytical frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize ML models
- Present technical findings to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Guide junior data scientists and establish best practices for the team
A day in the life
This is a highly-visible role owning multiple VP-level science initiatives and frequent leadership reviews to provide insights and recommendations backed by data. You will work with senior product and engineering leaders to define data science strategy and technical requirements. The role requires balancing long-term solutions while addressing immediate business needs, driving an incremental approach that is metrics and data driven.

MCF represents the core fulfillment capability of Buy with Prime (BwP), a new business initiative for Amazon.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- 4+ years of data scientist experience
- Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
- Experience managing data pipelines
- Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
