Description

Senior Cyber Security Engineer who has at least five years of professional (outside college) experience in the IT security domain.

The ideal candidate will excel at hardening hardware/software, maintaining security documentation (POAM), and reviewing/auditing IT systems.

What you’ll be doing:

Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resourcePerforming vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and assist with developing disaster recovery plansConfiguring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending improvements.Monitoring network traffic for suspicious behaviorCreating network policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destructionConsulting with staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical adviceConfiguring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls and anti-virus software.Training staff to understand and use security protocolsHardening the environment to meet industry standards and requirementsDocument security actions and assist with response team activitiesReview and perform risk assessments and recommend security improvements

Skills & Qualifications

5 years of professional experience as an IT administrator with a focus on securityA strong knowledge and understanding of computer, network, and security systemsMust be eligible to obtain Security Clearance

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $76.00/hr.
